This training course enables professionals that are responsible for organizing QA & testing to acquire necessary knowledge and skills to enable teams to achieve ownership of the quality.

 

What you achieve

In today’s IT world IT teams are expected to deliver business value with the right quality at speed. TMAP® helps you achieve this by working with  built-in quality rather that focus on testing.

Organizing QA & testing requires orchestrating, arranging, planning, preparing and controlling the activities.
This training course enables professionals that are responsible for organizing QA & testing to acquire necessary knowledge and skills to enable teams to achieve ownership of the quality.

This training course is based on the book “Quality for DevOps teams” and the TMAP body of knowledge on www.tmap.net.

 

Course overview

During this training course the participants (that typically are involved in organizing, structuring and scaling the IT delivery process) will get knowledge and practical experience with the following QA & testing subjects (amongst others):

  • The VOICE model for achieving business value by IT delivery
  • IT delivery models (incl DevOps, Scrum and SAFe®)
  • CI/CD pipeline and tooling
  • QA & Testing topics, such as:
    • Quality & test policy
    • Monitoring & control
    • Anomaly management
    • Reporting & alerting
    • Estimating & planning
    • Metrics and continuous improvement
    • Infrastructure
  • Organizing quality engineering overarching multiple teams
  • End-to-end testing within a team or over multiple teams
  • Quality characteristics and test varieties
  • Personal, interpersonal and team skills for effective collaboration within and across teams.

The training course lets participants get experience on these subjects through short introductions followed by relevant exercises and leaves ample room for sharing experiences by all participants.

During the course the participants will also practice exam questions.

Exam

The TMAP: Organizing built-in quality at scale exam is an online multiple choice exam with 40 questions in 90 minutes. You need a score of 66% to pass.

 

Target audience

This training course is for all people that are involved in organizing high-performance IT delivery (such as DevOps and Scrum). This includes roles such as agile quality coach, scrum masters, agile coaches, release train engineers, test managers and test masters.

Other relevant roles include QA professionals, testers, business analysts, product owners, developers, quality engineers, users, operations people etc.

 

Prerequisites

For this training course basic knowledge of information technology, working in teams and an Agile way of working is required. There are no specific certifications required but we strongly advise to first get the certificate “TMAP: Quality for cross-functional teams”.

 

Duration

This course is a 3-days course
The exam is 90 minutes

 

Language

The course will be conducted in English and the syllabus is in English.
